Although it wasn't originally shipped this way, it would still bring a considerable premium but not as much as if it were 100% original. Your gun could have been shipped back to Ruger to have a brass grip frame installed. The Blue Book of Guns shows a 41 Mag BH with a factory authenticated brass grip frame is valued at $2500 in 100% condition however the value drops rapidly with condition. Condition also assumes "factory original", which simply means if a BH has a brass grip frame, it had to be shipped from the factory with one. New in box with the manual is optimum for a 100% rating. That means the gun must be in excellent condition and show very little sign of use or wear. Bluec10, When you say "trigger guard", I hope you mean the entire grip frame because Ruger never made a SA revolver other than a Bearcat with just a brass trigger guard.
